Lani and Michelle J, exchanging business cards and support!

Dear Ann and Michelle,

Thanks in part to the support of the goal sister process, I am finally launching my first workshop, Putting Joy in Your Life, in February. It was such a thrilling feeling (I told Michelle I had butterflies in my stomach) when I finally secured a meeting site with a beautiful view of Kaneohe Bay and the Koolau mountains. (It might become the home of future workshops!) This is my dream coming true. It is amazing what can happen when you let creativity into your life and have the support of goal sisters (and a brother or two). To all the other goal sisters in this ever increasing circle - YOU GO GIRLS! DON'T EVER GIVE UP!

With much Aloha,

Lani Almanza

Goal Sisters Cindy, Nelda, and Joy, checking out the book for the first time

I originally came to the Goal Sister group to spend time with a couple of my friends and to try and figure out what I wanted to do now in my life having recently been laid off from my job. What I found was a network of people who became much more then friends. They became Goal Sisters.

I have several good friends in my life. People that I am very close to, people that I can count on to be there for me. My Goal Sisters are also my friends but they are also much more. To me a Goal Sister is someone who is committed to determining, setting and attaining personal goals and someone who is also committed to helping others to determine, set and attain their goals.

My original friendships have evolved into a different type of friendship with Goal Sisters. One in which we have taken on the responsibility of spending regular scheduled time with one another to encourage and support each other. Not just when we have had a bad (or good) day but also when we are just having a regular day.

As for myself, I feel awakened and excited about accomplishing some things that I have long put on hold for various reasons. I know my Goal Sisters will see to it that I continue on my chosen path.

Thank you Goal Sisters.

Cindy
