Hello. I would love to have a goal sister. i usually don't get along with females i guess that is why i have never had one. I go to college at kaplan university. I have a lot going on in my life and it is so hard sometimes. i feel like just giving up. I am from Arlington, Virginia and have lived here my entire life. I am almost 21 but would appreciate anyone from ages 18-100 or beyond! I graduated from a career college with an associate's degree in Business Administration and have been struggling for an entry-level job that suits that. My goals are about the general growth of an adult in career, volunteer experience, and moving out on my own. I wish I had moved out when I was 18 but many burdening things like a bad relationship, family problems, and got in the way. My interests of future events include traveling, backpacking, maintenance of health and fitness, obtaining more technical knowledge, environmental activism. As you can see, some of these require some money, which I now have little of. If there is someone out there who'd be a determined and knowledgable partner and whom I can support as well, it'd be great if this would lead to helping me move out on my own in a house. Hello Ann,

You spoke to our Women's group (EWC) a few months ago. I have read your book and I am interested in finding a goal sister. I live in Springfield, MO, and am trying to add to my retirement fund by investing in real estate. I have limited resources to do so and in a flat real estate market, it can be challenging. My sister, Jeanne, who lives in Tucson, AZ, and I are trying to do this together. We do not necessarily have to join funds to do this investing but have attended several seminars to help ourselves reach our goal. Is there anyone in the area(s) of myself or my sister that could lend support and help us to reach our goals?

My name is Kara. I am twenty-two years old, and I have three amazing children, Briana-age 8, Landin-age 2, and Alyssa-age 4 months. I also have an awesome husband, Shawn - we will have been married 6 years December 18th! I am from League City, a suburb of Houston, Texas. My goal is to get a small role in a movie. I have always loved acting. I took classes in high school and participated in drama festivals and did very well, but I gave it up once I got pregnant with my daughter Briana. I still love to act though and it is my dream and passion.

Hi Kara! I used to be involved in theatre too so I know that inner passion you describe! I love your commitment to your family but I also hope that you will set some goals for practicing your acting skills as well! You might consider approaching businesses to be a spokesperson for them and record their commercials or you could volunteer at the library to read stories to the children (giving 'voice' to all the characters could be a nice vocal practice!). How about helping your Mom's group organize a Halloween play? All of these possibilities can help you keep up on your skills, make a contribution to your community and give you some current experience to show that you are still 'in action' with something you love.
