Your Wish List

Exercise 3.1

In their book, The Aladdin Factor, Jack Canfield and Mark Victor Hansen provide a “101 wishes” exercise that we’ve found to be both fun and enlightening. We’ve adapted this exercise by reducing it to fifty wishes. Take out your journal now and complete fifty “I wish. . . .” statements that you will shortly turn into your goals. Examples of our wishes are:

· I wish that Mary’s pettiness didn’t bother me

· I wish I took better care of myself

· I wish Dan would ease up on himself

· I wish I could practice mindfulness daily

· I wish we could finish decorating the house

Don’t be stingy and stop before you list fifty wishes! Go ahead, brainstorm like crazy and write that list of fifty wishes now.

Book Fact #3

Thanks to the support and help of Michelle's sister Laurie and her husband Roger (who are both in the publishing business), we landed our publishing contract without an agent and a lawyer!
